Before asking such nosy questions remember Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Part of the perfection of someone’s Islam is his LEAVING ALONE that which does NOT CONCERN him.” [Hadith 11, An Nawawi, Tirmidhi]
Hassan bin Sinan, a Tabieen, once saw a house & asked a simple question: When was this house built? But he straightaway realized that he has asked something which does not concern him & as a punishment he fasted for a year! [Mentioned in Mukhtasar Minhaj Alqasideen]
Subhaan Allah he asked a simple question & regretted it yet we ask nosy questions about peoples personal lives yet we don’t feel any shame
