"Omar Series"

I Watched Arabic version (English subtitle) of OMAR on MBS I must say I was amazed, shocked saddened and left gasping for more. The screen certainly does justice to the lives of the companions that are portrayed in this series that tries to captivate the audiences with its portrayal of the problems faced by the early Muslim community. The entire series starts from the final pilgrimage made by Ameer UL Momineen and as he returns from Makkah, he stops by a wadi remembering his youth as a camel herder - from here on the next 29 episodes flashback to his youth in Makkah, he's coming across the message of Islam and his sense of belonging and attraction to the prophet.The series brings all the characters to life and gives the viewer a feel and a sense of belonging having witnessed the fights, quarrels disturbances in Makkah and Madina.The program gives a sense of his adal insaaf, justice and equity and the fact that he was not scared of putting forward the truth as he saw it regardless of what anyone thought. It also highlights how the Sahaba and khulafa relied on the sharia system of consultation at every step. The captivating parts I believe are the ones that focus on the ridda wars and how the Muslims were at a critical and dangerous point in their history.Sayedna Khalid bin Waleed and Abu Ubaida and Mola Ali are also shown in a wonderful light as well Please watch it its really good. Is it permissible to work as a Lawyer in Islam?

Most of the Muslims think Islam doesn’t give any permission to work as a lawyer and some of us completely dislike about the law profession. Because they think it involves in referring to something other than the laws of Allaah for the judgement. I think this is completely a misconception. As Muslims, we shouldn't be narrow minded to that far.   Wor king as a lawyer is not harm in and of itself, because it is not judged according to something other than that which Allaah has revealed, rather it is acting as a people’s deputy or representative in cases of dispute, which is a permissible kind of deputation or representation. But the lawyer must be careful and make sure of the case before getting involved in it.  If it is a claim regarding some right that has been taken away in a wrong manner, then it is permissible for you to argue on his behalf to have his rights restored to him and the wrongdoing stopped. "We'd Rather Spend more on our Daughter's marriage than her Education"

It's sad to think that there are still some societies that exist where parents are concerned and often feel burdened by the pressure of getting their daughters married. Their worry often begins before their daughters have even reached a marriageable age. Marriage gives priority, in some cases not all, over everything else and daughters are often made to feel that the sole purpose of their lives   is marriage and this should be their number one priority.   Parents start worrying about saving for their daughter's big day so they can get her married off in a culturally fitting manner.
