Yeah this project is soo special...Bcz this is Gampola urban development project   The Sri Lanka Government has embarked on a programme of launching urban development projects at the village level countrywide granting the much needed facilities to the people. Accordingly The Gampola Urban Development Project launched under vision of Gangasiripura Navodaya took place under the auspices of Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva. Former Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne & Deputy Ministe r Ananda Jayaratne joined in this occasion. The initial construction was mooted with a sum of 192 million. Rupees given by the Urban Development Authority. Several small township development projects were proposed with it. The work was launched centering a land affiliated to the Gampola Railway Station which is owned by the Railway Department.
