Never Give Up Visually impaired since his birth, T Sriramanujam, an 11-year-old boy from Tamil Nadu, fulfilled his long cherished dream of becoming a news anchor, as he went live for 22 minutes on the Lotus News, a satellite television channel based at Coimbatore, thus becoming world’s first visually impaired news anchor as claimed by the channel. Sriramanujam is a student of blind school, and read the special news live with the help of Braille. He told  the Hindu , “I was trembling with fear when I read the first news. Czech Beauty Queen Reverts to Islam

CAIRO – Finding serenity in Islam, a former beauty queen of Democratic Republic of Czechoslovakia has reverted to Islam, settling down in Dubai where she works. According to a report by Al Quds Al-Arabi newspaper in London, Marketa Korinkova has embraced Islam months ago and changed her name as Maryam. An international fame production designer, super-model and film actress, Marketa Korinkova surprised her fans by making this announcement, The Siasat Daily reported on Monday, February 29. In 2012, she was elected Miss Motors in a beauty contest held in Italy, after which she gained fame. According to the paper, Maryam has been thinking of embracing this faith for the past three years. She made a public announcement in Dubai of her accepting Islam. She said that the status given to Muslim women in Islam attracted her to accept this faith. What is the punishment for one who drinks alcohol, and are his prayer and fasting valid?

Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullah reported that Abu Quhaafah was brought on the day of the conquest of Makkah, and his head and beard were white like "thaghaamah" (a plant whose flowers and fruit are white). The Messenger of Allah (Peace & Blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: "Change this with something, but avoid black." (Reported by Muslim, no. 3962).
